Defender Alex Lacey has joined fellow League 2 side Yeovil Town.

The 22-year-old leaves the Hatters after coming through the youth ranks at Kenilworth Road.

Lacey made his debut in the Town’s FA Trophy tie against Welling United in December 2010 and in total made 51 appearances in Luton colours.

The centre-half scored once for the Hatters, in a 4-0 away win at Woking in the Conference in 2013. That season saw the defender pick up a title-winners’ medal as the Town won the Conference championship.

During his time at Kenilworth Road Lacey also spent time out on loan at Cambridge City, Thurrock, Eastbourne Borough and Eastleigh.

But Lacey’s move to Huish Park ends an eight-year association with the Hatters.

Everyone at Luton Town would like to thank Alex for his contributions on and off the field during his time at Kenilworth Road and wish him all the very best of luck in his future career.
