Town have doubts over several but Benson's back
The Town are able to welcome back Paul Benson from a three-match suspension for Saturday's game with Northampton Town at Kenilworth Road. The striker was red-carded in the second half of the goalless draw at Stevenage on 21st November and manager John Still is happy to have the former Dagger available.
"We're getting Danny Green firing now...but we've had the man [Benson] who's there to head Danny's crosses in suspended," said Still at his Thursday press conference. "Paul is an influencer. We're happy to have him back but he won't be match sharp as he hasn't been able to play."
The Hatters are likely, however, to be without Nathan Doyle, who has picked up a knee injury, while Scott Cuthbert and Luke Guttridge are likely to be unavailable after both missed last Sunday's FA Cup defeat to Peterborough. Jack Marriott, who also sat out the 2-0 defeat, could be involved, however, when assessed on Friday.
Dan Potts and Mark O'Brien are also out while Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu is back in training although unlikely to feature.
Meanwhile Stephen O'Donnell played another 90 minutes for the development squad in the week and Scott Griffiths has also trained fully.
