Hatters youngsters follow up last weekend's win with another
The Town Under-18s made it two wins from two in the Youth Alliance with a 3-1 victory away to Peterborough United on Saturday morning.James Verney directed James Justin's cross home after 10 minutes to give Paul Driver's side the lead.
Posh levelled with a fine effort from the edge of the box on 40 minutes but a minute before half-time Cameron McJannet's free-kick found the top corner to restore the Town's lead.
The Hatters began the second half on fire with Alex Atkinson, Kavan Cotter and Jack Snelus all going close - the latter striking a shot from 40 yards against the crossbar.
But the Town continued to push for a third goal and on 70 minutes they made the game safe when Justin was fouled in the box and Atkinson converted the resultant penalty.
A delighted Driver told lutontown.co.uk: "It was an excellent all-round display.
"If you had offered me six points from six and a plus-six goal difference after two games I would have bit your arm off.
"We were better with the ball this week and our defending was too."
