JJ O’Donnell to join commentary team for Oxford Clash

We are excited to announce that commentator Simon Pitts will join the Luton media team in the press box this season as the official commentator for Hatters Player. Simon is no stranger to subscribers to Hatters Player – having been official match commentator since 2009. Prior to that he also delivered match commentary around the Club since 1998, as well as working alongside Club Historian Roger Wash as co-writer on “Luton Town Football Club – The Full Record”.

We asked Simon, a life-long Hatters fan himself, what it’s like to commentate on the matches.

“It's an absolute honour and a privilege to be commentating on Luton Town matches and I'm absolutely delighted that the Club have asked me to continue providing the commentary for the Hatters Player service. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to continue my commentary, and particularly those goal celebrations!

Hatters Player is the only place you can hear Luton Town commentary online and to be the voice for that coverage is a role that I will continue to be so proud to fulfil. Here's to a successful 2015/16 season! #COYH”

Simon will be commentating on this Saturday’s match against Oxford United with a special guest co-presenter JJ O’Donnell. The former Hatters winger, who famously set up Scott Rendell’s goal for Luton against Norwich in the FA Cup giant killing of 2013 will be providing his insight alongside Pitts – so don’t miss it.
