Town to check on Doyle fitness
The Hatters will monitor the fitness of Nathan Doyle ahead of Saturday's game with Hartlepool United. The 28-year-old limped off with a calf strain in Tuesday night's goalless draw against Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday.
"He's not trained today [Thursday] but we'll wait and see and look at him tomorrow," John Still said on Doyle at his pre-match press conference. "You can get that sometimes when you've been out for a long period of time and you have a problem with another muscle but we'll check on him before Saturday."
The boss said the Hatters will also be without "Lucky Lawless" Alex Lawless - the midfielder's latest set-back in a frustratingly injury-plagued season is a bout of shingles. Elliot Justham will continue in goal as Mark Tyler still recovers from a knee injury while Still also explained that Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu needs a course of injections to aid his back/hamstring injury.
