The Town have exercised their right to recall striker Ricky Miller from Dover Athletic ahead of Saturday’s trip to Hartlepool United.

The 25-year-old summer signing from Boston United has impressed on loan at the Kent club, scoring five goals in 10 matches in the Conference Premier.

Miller is likely to be included in the Town squad at the weekend and his return to Kenilworth Road comes after fellow forward Ross Lafayette underwent an operation on a hernia this week. The former Welling striker could be sidelined for several weeks.

John Still has no fresh injury worries for Saturday’s game as the Town go in search of a fifth straight victory in Sky Bet League 2.

Jake Howells, Curtley Williams, Paul Connolly and Fraser Franks are back in training but unlikely to make the trip, but Luke Rooney could travel having recovered from a knee injury.

The boss also explained at his Thursday press conference that he knows his first-choice XI but admitted he might never get to actually play it.

Still also gave his thoughts on tiredness in football in the wake of Raheem Sterling’s omission from the England team against Estonia.
