Youngsters draw 3-3 with Watford after trailing 3-1

The Town Under-18s staged a fine second half comeback to earn a 3-3 draw with Watford having trailed 3-1 at the break.

The Hatters were a goal down after 20 minutes but Leeroy Maguraushe levelled for the Hatters shortly afterwards.

A two-goal blast inside five minutes before the break put the Hornets in control but the Town rallied in the second 45 minutes.

Ekene Amadi had a goal ruled out shortly after the resumption but the Hatters did pull a goal back on 65 minutes when under-16 George Murray was fouled in the box and Maguraushe scored the resultant penalty.

10 minutes later the comeback was complete when Maguraushe’s floated free-kick to the back post was headed home by Frankie Musonda.

Boss Paul Driver sent on Daril Ngwala for his first game since a hernia operation four weeks ago, and the Town striker was denied a winning goal late.

Town: King, Justin, Perry, Hawkes, Musonda, McGhan-George (sub Craig 90), Magaraushe, Bakinson, Murray (sub Ngwala 70), Amadi (sub Tayali 67). Subs: Gooch, Fanewo.
