Where will your money go this weekend?

Burton Albion v Luton Town

Burton Albion edge favouritism at 7/5 heading into their Sky Bet League 2 encounter with Luton Town on Saturday. Table-toppers Luton have only lost three games all season, just one of those coming away from home, and John Still’s side are 19/10 to add to their impressive win-tally and 21/10 to come away from the Pirelli Stadium with a draw. Burton haven’t been prolific in front of their home fans this term, scoring just 10 goals in eight league games, and Luton are 100/30 to win by exactly one goal and 4/1 to win to nil. Both teams to score is a shade of odds-on at 10/11, with under 2.5 goals priced at 8/13 compared to 6/5 against over 2.5. Town’s Mark Cullen is one of the division’s leading marksmen with eight strikes to his name and can be backed at 7/1 to score first and 12/5 to find the net at any stage. Stuart Beavon is the favourite to score the first goal of the game and Burton’s hitman is 6/4 in the anytime market.

Top Tip: Mark Cullen to score at any time 12/5

Accrington Stanley v Cambridge United

Accrington Stanley are 13/10 favourites ahead of their Sky Bet League 2 clash with Cambridge United at the Crown Ground on Saturday. The U’s can be backed at 15/8 with the Football League sponsors to follow up their home win over Northampton Town last Friday and claim all three points. The draw is priced at 23/10, with 1-1 the most popular correct score at 5/1. Accrington have won their past two home games 2-1 and they are 7/2 to win a match in which both teams to score, while Cambridge are 9/2 in the same market. United’s Kweso Appiah and Tom Elliott both have five league goals to their name and both can be backed at 6/1 to open the scoring, with Accrington’s James Gray and Kal Naismith are slightly shorter at 11/2 to break the deadlock.

Top Tip: Both teams to score at 4/6.

Bury v Newport County

Bury are odds-on at 10/11 with Football League sponsors Sky Bet as they look to return to form against Newport County at the JD Stadium on Saturday. David Flitcroft’s side are sixth in the table heading into the weekend following last Saturday’s defeat at Morecambe and Justin Edinburgh’s Newport – currently ninth - are 14/5 to claim the victory and pick up a third away success of the season. County came from two goals down at half-time to grab a point against Exeter last Sunday and the draw is priced at 12/5 here. The most popular correct score is 1-1 at 5/1, while both times these teams met last term the game ended 0-0 and that outcome can be backed at 9/1.

Top Tip: No goalscorer at 9/1.

Cheltenham Town v Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe Wanderers are marginal favourites at 6/4 to claim all three points when they face Cheltenham Town in Sky Bet League 2 on Saturday. Cheltenham are priced at 17/10 as they look to bounce back from their 5-1 defeat at the hands of Stevenage last weekend, with the draw 11/5. The corresponding fixture at Whaddon Road last season ended in a 1-1 draw and that is the most popular outcome in the correct score market at 9/2. Wycombe’s Paul Hayes has notched eight times in the league so far this term and heads the first goalscorer market at 11/2 (6/4 to score at any time during the match), with Town’s Byron Harrison next on the list at 6/1.

Top Tip: Paul Hayes to score first at 11/2.

Dagenham & Redbridge v Carlisle United

Dagenham & Redbridge are marginal outsiders at 7/4 ahead of their Sky Bet League 2 clash with Carlisle United at Victoria Road on Saturday. The Cumbrian outfit are narrowly preferred by the league sponsors at 7/5 to claim back-to-back wins following their 1-0 home victory over Accrington last weekend, and the draw is 23/10. A 1-1 draw is the most popular outcome in the correct score market at 5/1, while the corresponding fixture when these sides last met in April 2011 ended 3-0 to The Daggers and that result pays 28/1 here. Dagenham’s evergreen Jamie Cureton is the 5/1 favourite to open the scoring, with Carlisle attacker Derek Asamoah 6/1.

Top Tip: Under 2.5 goals at 5/6.

Exeter City v Shrewsbury Town

Second-placed Shrewsbury Town are even-money favourites to take all three points from their Sky Bet League 2 clash with Exeter City on Saturday. The Shrews are in excellent form with one defeat in their last seven league games and are 21/10 to be winning at half-time and full-time. Exeter are mid-table after 17 games and are 13/5 to record their third home victory of the season. The draw is priced at 23/10, with 1-1 the most popular correct score at 5/1. Town’s James Collins has six league goals so far and is the 5/1 favourite to open the scoring and 11/8 to add to his tally, with The Grecians’ Tom Nichols and Graham Cummins both priced at 7/1 to net first.

Top Tip: The draw at 23/10 .

Hartlepool United v York City

Hartlepool will hope victory over fellow Sky Bet League 2 strugglers York on Saturday will see them climb off the bottom of the table. Pools are the outsiders for the three points at 19/10, York are 7/5 favourites and the draw can be backed at 21/10. Hartlepool have only claimed one league win in over two months so an upturn in fortunes is vital to gain belief in the survival battle. York have a similar record to Pools. They have also claimed only one league victory in the last two months but the Minstermen are draw specialists. Ten of York’s 21 matches so far this term have finished level and this could be another tight contest.

Top tip: The draw at 21/10.

Mansfield Town v Plymouth Argyle

Plymouth are the 6/4 favourites to make it eight wins from their last 11 games when they travel to Mansfield. The Stags can be backed at 7/4 for the win and the draw is priced up at 21/10. Mansfield are in an awful run of form with no victory in their previous nine matches and drew 1-1 at home to non-league Concord Rangers in the FA Cup in midweek. Reuben Reid scored twice in Plymouth’s 3-0 success at home to Portsmouth last weekend and he’s the 9/2 favourite to net first on Saturday. Rakish Bingham is the top Mansfield contender in the same market at 5/1.

Top tip: Reuben Reid to score first at 9/2

Northampton Town v Stevenage

Northampton are the 21/20 favourites to pick up three points at home to Stevenage on Saturday. The visitors can be supported at 5/2 and the draw is a 9/4 shot. Northampton have only picked up one win in their last nine games but that success did come in their last home match in Sky Bet League 2 as they beat AFC Wimbledon 2-0. Stevenage enjoyed their previous league outing as Cheltenham were thrashed 5-1 and they will provide a tough challenge for the Cobblers. Northampton’s three previous contests have all seen the opposition score the last goal of the match and you can get 11/8 for Stevenage to complete the scoring this weekend.

Top tip: Stevenage to score the last goal of the match at 11/8.

Oxford United v AFC Wimbledon

Oxford are the 21/20 favourites to beat AFC Wimbledon at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday. The Dons are priced up at 5/2 by Sky Bet and the draw can be supported at 11/5. Oxford have been inconstent lately with their recent record reading won-won-lost-lost-won-won so they will hope to keep up the momentum from their last two matches. AFC Wimbledon have got back on track after a six-match winless run with two victories in a row but are without an away success in Sky Bet League 2 since the middle of August. Oxford’s Danny Hylton, the division’s top goalscorer, is the 9/2 favourite to open the scoring. His fellow Oxford forward James Roberts, who has netted three goals in his first two starts for the club, and AFC Wimbledon striker Matt Tubbs, who bagged a double last time out, follow in the market at 5/1.

Top tip: James Roberts to score first at 5/1

Portsmouth v Morecambe

Portsmouth are the odds-on favourites at 5/6 to defeat Morecambe at Fratton Park on Saturday afternoon. The visiting Shrimps can be backed at 3/1 and the draw is a 12/5 chance. Pompey are inconsistent but have won their last two home matches so will fancy their chances of making it a hat-trick of victories. Morecambe posted a 1-0 win over highly-fancied Bury last time out and could take a spot in the play-offs with three points. Five of Morecambe’s previous six matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored and you can get 8/11 for another similarly tight encounter this weekend.

Top tip: Under 2.5 goals at 8/11.

Tranmere Rovers v Southend United

Tranmere hope that victory at home to Southend on Saturday will see them move out of the relegation zone if one of Dagenham or York also fall to defeat. Rovers are the 7/4 outsiders for the win with Southend made favourites at 6/4 and the draw priced up at 21/10. There has been an upturn in fortunes for Tranmere recently with last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Sky Bet League 2 leaders Luton their first loss in six matches. Southend have won their previous two league matches but a disappointing FA Cup exit at the hands of Conference side Chester sandwiches those victories. Three of Tranmere’s last five home matches have ended in draws so don’t be surprised if this game throws up another points-sharer.

Top tip: The draw at 21/10.
