The Under-18s Elite Team celebrated winning the Football Conference Youth Alliance League title last week following an emphatic 8-0 win over West Ham.

Needing four points from there remaining three games, they clinched the championship after a 3-0 win over Dagenham and Redbridge – and have a game to spare.

The elite programme is for players aged 16-18 and operates a full time football and education programme.

Coach Adam Balletta was full of praise for his young Hatters.

He told lutontown.co.uk: "It's been a good week with two clean sheets and 11 goals. The lads fully deserve to be champions.

“The elite programme has some very talented young players and shows that not only do the first team have strength in depth but so does the youth department. Some of these have represented Paul Driver in the youth team and one has even been on the bench for the 21s."
