Home tie for the Town back in the League Cup again
The Hatters have been handed a home tie against League 1 side Swindon Town in the first round of the Capital One Cup.It will be the Town's first match in the competition since 2008 and a 5-1 defeat at Reading in the second round.
The tie will take place at Kenilworth Road week commencing 11th August and will be the first time the two clubs have met in the competition.
However, both clubs have won the League Cup. Swindon lifted the trophy in 1969 after a shock win over Arsenal at Wembley and, of course, in 1988 the Gunners were beaten 3-2 by the Town under the twin towers.
