Local airline continue their sponsorship ahead of new kit release for 14/15

The Town will start a new era back in the Football League with brand new playing strips for the 2014/15 season.

And what’s more the Club are delighted to announce that easyJet have extended their shirt sponsorship for a further year, to make it a sixth season in succession in partnership with the Hatters. All the new shirts will be manufactured by Fila.

Following the supporter poll back in March – in which Hatters fans were asked to vote on their preferred shirt colour – next season’s home shirt will be orange, but distinctly different to last campaign’s offering.

As reigning champions of the Football Conference, the shirt will include gold trim and have ‘Football Conference Champions 2013/14’ embroidered below the manufacturer’s logo. On the reverse of the shirt is a first for the club: a Twitter hashtag – the popular #LutonAreBack, which swamped the club’s social media platform following promotion last term. The first choice colours are completed with navy blue shorts and white socks.

The away shirt will be a distinctive orange and navy-blue striped number with a round-neck collar that features a plain navy blue back. The change colours are accompanied with white shorts and navy socks with orange trim.

Also new for 2014/15 will be a classy, predominately white, third shirt which encompasses orange and navy-blue trim. This shirt is joined by an orange shorts and orange socks combination.

The new shirts do not end there either, as the Hatters goalkeepers will also sport three new jerseys for next season. The first choice colours come in what Fila call a ‘brilliant blue’, whilst the change colours will be a fetching ‘violet’. The third choice goalkeeper kit comes in a colour coined ‘petrol’.

Hatters' managing director Gary Sweet was delighted at the prospect of the linking-up easyJet once more.

He said: “I think it goes without saying that we are absolutely delighted to have easyJet on board with us as we embark on our first season back in the Football League.”

“They, like many of our supporters, have shown great passion and loyalty during our time in the Football Conference.

“Although they are recognised nationally and indeed internationally, we are proud to have maintained the relationship with a company whose links, at heart, lie locally.”

Sophie Dekkers, easyJet’s UK Market Director said: “We are really pleased to be extending our shirt sponsorship and partnership with the Hatters for another year, especially ahead of this pivotal season which sees the team’s return to the Football League.

“Luton is easyJet’s home town and as one of the region’s largest employers, we and the club appreciate the value of bringing people together. We are proud patrons of the club and its community of supporters who bring orange spirit to every match.  We look forward to seeing the team flying up the league table. #LutonAreBack.”

On the new strips, which will be the Town’s second new range in 12 months, Sweet added: “Winning promotion back to the Football League represents a new era and a fresh start for this football club and that is why we have decided to release three new shirts.”

Further details, including photographs, prices and availability of all the new shirts will be released in due course.
