Striker has his say on Twitter after Bees switch

Departing striker Andre Gray took to Twitter to thank the club and Town faithful following his move to Championship side Brentford.

Gray, 23, penned a three-year contract with the Bees, who won promotion from League 1 last season, after scoring 57 goals in 111 games with the Town.

After announcing his move to Griffin Park, the striker tweeted: "Just want to thank everybody at @LutonTown for the amazing times you’ve gave me.

"Helped me fulfil a dream of playing at Wembley and gave me memories I’ll never forget! Best moment of my life was winning promotion with you, but now felt like the right time to take the step up and leave and try and pursue another dream!

"Fans have been unbelievable since I arrived up until me leaving now and honestly can’t thank you enough! I found a home there and made friends for life!! I'll always be looking out for you and watching games. I hope you can take the next step to League 1 automatically! You never know it’s a crazy game, I might be there again in the future.

"But for now it’s goodbye. I love you all #27."

Everyone at Luton Town would like to wish Andre the very best in his future career away from Kenilworth Road #ThankYouAndre
