Boss hails tremendous team effort

"Winners always find a way of winning," said Town boss John Still after the 2-1 win over Barnet.

The Hatters splashed their way to a seventh straight win the Skrill Premier in determined fashion against Edgar Davids’ Bees in atrocious conditions at Kenilworth Road.

Whether – no pun intended – the game should have started or not was another story: the Town got the job done and the manager was pleased his team found a way to combat the elements.

"I thought the conditions were a little bit unfair because you can do all the right things and make a mistake," said Still afterwards.

"But we’ve played it, I’m delighted we won and thought everyone did everything I could have asked of them.

"The little thing that’s in the back of my mind, winners always find a way of winning.

"You’ve got to win games in different ways, we’ve had to do something else today and the pleasing thing with this run is that all the teams we’ve beaten are in contention.

"These are all pluses for us and we know if we can keep working hard, we do not have to worry what others are doing because we are doing what we have to do."
