Three-point lead for Hatters after United slip
Town maintained their three point lead at the top of the table without kicking a ball on Tuesday night following Cambridge United's 2-1 home defeat by Grimsby Town at the Abbey Stadium.Former Hatter Scott Neilson scored the Mariners winner to cement their place in the top five but defeat for Cambridge was their first dropped points at home all season.
Elsewhere Nuneaton bounced back from their 3-0 defeat against the Town at the weekend to register a 2-1 victory over Aldershot. Kidderminster, fresh from a battling performance at Sunderland in the FA Cup, had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at Hereford, and Wrexham are now just five points off of the Play-Offs after a 2-0 home win over Tamworth.
