Similar teams set to battle out replay says Town boss

John Still is likely to keep the faith with the majority of the players who drew with Cambridge on Saturday for Tuesday’s FA Trophy third round replay at Kenilworth Road.

The manager made 10 changes to the side that last played in the Skrill Premier and the much-changed Town side held their promotion rivals to a 2-2 draw despite leading 2-0 at one stage.

Loan signing Ryan Inniss is in line to continue at centre-half on Tuesday whilst youth team regulars Luke Trotman and Ian Rees are likely to be in contention for a start – as is striker Jon Shaw, who played 45 minutes at the Abbey Stadium.

“We’ll be changing it slightly,” John Still told lutontown.co.uk. “Jake Howells has played a lot recently and we’re likely to rest him.

“Some of the youth team lads will come in and we’ll see how they cope. It’s a great opportunity for them but it’s also for the more senior players who need game-time.”

It remains to be seen what kind of team Cambridge field for replay, but Still said: “We think it will be something similar to Saturday.”
