In it together, says the boss

Together, Everyone Achieves More. It spells out TEAM. To John Still that means the world.

"On Saturday, we’re 1-0 up at half time, the crowd and supporters were fantastic and I made a comment after the game, 'the stronger the team, the stronger the team'," the Town boss said at his Monday afternoon meeting with the media.

"I know it’s a soppy thing to say, but it is. There are many elements of our team. The team on the pitch, the team off the pitch: the supporters, directors, groundstaff, who got the game ready the other day, the ladies who bring the food in every day, the 8,000 supporters who were at a home game recently, the 2,000 fans who travelled to Nuneaton.

"Everyone is behind what we’re doing and that makes the team stronger.

"We have to continue and everyone involved who wants this club to be successful has got a part to play and no part is any less important."

Saturday’s win at Nuneaton made it 23 games without defeat in the Skrill Premier to nudge the Town 11 points clear at the top of the league.

"I’d be lying if I said the team isn’t doing well," said Still, modestly.

"We look strong, we look organised, there’s a discipline about the team and at the moment we’re doing okay.

"The biggest thing is we’re working hard and it’s that team ethic again."
