Solitary goal defeats youngsters
The Hatters' Under-18s went down to a narrow defeat at home to Gillingham on Tuesday afternoon at Venue 360.In an even game, the Gills won it with a goal 15 minutes from time.
Boss Paul Driver told lutontown.co.uk: "It was a good game in testing conditions on a heavy pitch, and while it was disappointing to lose, I was encouraged by the signs from a young team.
"A draw would have probably been fair but it's pleasing to see that some of these younger lads have the progression in them to make an impact should they be offered a scholarship."
