Luton Town Football Club staff now receiving Living Wage

Luton Town Football Club are proud to announce their decision to adopt the ‘Living Wage’ as their minimum level of pay.

This applies to all contracted members of staff in all departments including football, retail, catering, maintenance and administration. The change to staff pay will be absorbed by the Club, and there will be no increases in ticket or retail prices as a result.

The Hatters have been paying a minimum of £7.85 per hour since 1st December 2014, and are in the process of gaining accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation.

Hatters Chief Executive Gary Sweet said: “Luton Town Football Club sits right at the heart of the community. Not only do we feel that we have a responsibility to our staff, to make sure that their level of pay affords them the ability to have a decent work-life balance but we also have a desire to attract more talented people when recruiting.”
