Lifelong Hatter John to represent supporters at the Club
Luton Town Football Club are pleased to welcome John Miller as he joins the Kenilworth Road team as Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO). The appointment of this new role is part of the drive to further develop partnerships between the Club, its supporters and the wider community.
Although John will be working closely with everyone at Luton Town, his role is an entirely independent bridge between the Club and its supporters.
John said: “As a lifelong Hatters fan, I was extremely proud of the way in which we stood up for the Club during the recent non-League days. Now we have the chance to move on, and I am very happy to help in any way with this.”
John’s experience of following the Town over a period of over 25 years, both home and away, as well as many years running his own business made him an excellent candidate for the role.
Chief Executive Gary Sweet said: “At a time when clubs further up the Football League triangle are putting more and more distance between themselves and their fans, we’re committed to building ever closer relationships with our loyal fan base and the community at large. The appointment of John as Supporter Liaison Officer is a further demonstration of our commitment to this process, and we welcome him to the club.
“Ultimately, John’s responsibilities will be to ensure that supporters’ views are represented from within the organisation and to drive certain initiatives forward that will benefit supporters, in general.
“Now we’re back in the league, there’s no shortage of valuable insight we can gain from our supporters. Whether it’s on the subject of relocation, public transport, Junior Hatters or loyalty schemes, we’re serious about showing our fans that their opinions matter, and can make a difference to the future of this fantastic club.”
When he’s not watching the Town, John enjoys a game of golf, watching cricket or walking the family dogs. You can contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07754 007382.
