Midfielder misses out
Town midfielder Nathan Doyle has missed out on the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for November.
Southend United winger David Worrall took the prize, but despite the disappointment there was praise for the former Bradford man from manager John Still.
He said on Thursday: “I think Nathan’s been terrific, absolutely terrific. Him and Jonathan Smith have played a big part in us not conceding that many goals.
“It is well warranted the fact he’s been nominated and if I was picking, he’d win it for me.”
Southend boss Phil Brown also won the manager’s award.
Meanwhile, former Town striker Andre Gray won the Championship Player of the Month prize after red-hot form in front of goal.
Gray, who made the switch to Brentford in the summer, has hit five goals in his last five games at the Bees have surged into the Championship’s top six. Congratulations, Andre.
