Defender in line for recall after injury

Left-back Scott Griffiths is expected to return for the Hatters' Sky Bet League 2 trip to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

The defender missed last week's 2-2 draw at Accrington through injury - the first league fixture he had missed in Town colours since the back end of the 2012/13 campaign.

Midfielder Luke Guttridge is in contention for a starting berth following his performance from the substitutes' bench last weekend, which gives manager John Still options for the game with the Shrews.

But, midfielders Jonathan Smith and Alex Lawless remain unavailable as they continue to recover from injuries. Still is happy with their fitness levels and Smith is set to get the all-clear to step-up his progress. The duo could be back for consideration for first team selection in 10 days time.

Full story with quotes and video to follow, including the boss' hope that his side begin Saturday's game better than they did at Accrington.
