Boss believes this particular promotion would be the pinnacle

Just think about it for one second.

Luton Town could be Champions very, very soon.

If, if, if, if, that happens, where would it rank in your all-time favourite Town moments?

Well for John Still it will be “biggest thing in football” if the Hatters can accomplish their objective and lift the Skrill Premier

And for the long suffering followers of the Town, who would argue with the boss?

"People that have been supporters of this football club for years will say it is the biggest moment of their life because it is in the present and I believe that to be the case," Still told the gathered media at the training ground on Monday.

"Besides winning the Premier League I rate this [promotion from the Conference] as the biggest thing in English league football.

"If we can achieve our ultimate goal in the next week, it will be a slightly different feeling for me because the other two teams I won promotion with had never been in the Football League.”

"I will still be immensely proud of our achievements though. This is a fantastic football club."

The manager recently coined a new Stillism, "New Luton". In just 12 months the Hatters have gone from failing to even finish in the Play-Off spots to runaway leaders and on the cusp of a return to the Football League.

And Still believes that’s down in so small part to the backing of his players from the hordes of Hatters fans who have swept his side along to a magnificent, record-breaking campaign.

"Since I have been here I have seen such an unbelievable turnaround in this football club," said the boss.

"From the supporters to the staff, I have seen everything change. The support is as fantastic as ever but there has been a greater understanding of what we are trying to do here.

"That has filtered down to the players and they always want to give 100 per cent for the people on the terraces each week and that helped us go on that amazing unbeaten run earlier in the season.

"There is just more confidence from everyone now.

"I called it before but it is like a ‘new Luton’ and for me to be part of that new Luton is special.

"If we can grab promotion now, it will be a special, special moment that I will never, ever forget for the rest of my life."
