Moments from the Hatters' history on 21st October

The Town have won 5-1, 4-1, 6-0 and 5-0 in matches played on this day in the past 46 years.


A 5-1 win over Leeds United in the Championship came in 2006 thanks two goals from Carlos Edwards and further strikes from Rowan Vine, David Bell and Markus Heikkenen.


In 1989 the Town beat Norwich City 4-1 in the top flight at Kenilworth Road. Kingsley Black, John Dreyer, Danny Wilson and Steve Williams were on target for the Hatters.


Two Brian Stein goals helped the Hatters to a 6-0 home win over Notts County on this day in 1978. Bob Hatton, Alan West, David Moss and Lil Fuccillo penalty secured the points.


In 1967 the Hatters’ recorded what still stands as their (now joint) record away league victory with a 5-0 win at St James Park against Exeter. Two goals from Keith Allen and further goals from Ian Buxton, Alan Slough and Ray Whittaker completed the rout.


Back in 1933 the Town also beat Watford 2-1 at Kenilworth Road in Division Three (South)
