Defender scoops September award

Centre-half Steve McNulty has won the diamond player of the month award for September.

The defender polled almost half of the overall votes to take this month’s gong, beating Mark Cullen and Luke Guttridge, who finished in second and third place respectively.

Earlier in the month, Town boss John Still said on McNulty: "He's inspired people and shown the winning attitude that has been really important.

"He's unaffected by anything that's happening around him; and I love that."

Adult diamond season ticket holder Jeff Carter voted for Steve and he was picked at random to receive two tickets for hospitality at this Saturday’s home game with Hyde, after which he will present the trophy.

Junior diamond season ticket holder Scott Wilson also selected Steve, and he has the opportunity to be our diamond mascot at Saturday’s game.

Many thanks to those diamond season ticket holders who voted, and remember – if you’re interested in becoming a diamond season ticket holder contact the ticket office on 01582 416976 or email
