The Hatters are pleased to announce the University of Bedfordshire as official sponsors of the Club’s academy.
The two-year deal will enable the 80-plus players in the Town’s academy, from Under-9 to Under-18 level, a number benefits from the University’s investment.
In turn, the University’s students will also benefit from the partnership. Last weekend 12 students were taken on by the academy in a variety of roles on work experience, ranging from physiotherapy to sports science.
Head of youth operations at Kenilworth Road, Matt Stannard, told lutontown.co.uk: “This strengthens the link between ourselves at the University of Bedfordshire, with both parties able to draw on each other to offer expertise, advice and facilities.
“Our working relationship with the University has been fantastic and the mutual benefits for students and players are endless.
“This is an exciting time for the academy and, together with the University, we look forward to the success that this relationship can bring in strengthening our partnerships in Luton, Bedfordshire and beyond.”
