Smith suspended; Benson and McNulty fit
Town boss John Still will be without the services of Jonathan Smith for Saturday's home game with Welling United. The midfielder, who has been involved in all of the Hatters' 20 games so far this season, serves a one-match ban after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in last weekend's 1-1 draw at Chester.
It means the manager will be forced into at least one change to the side to face Jamie Day's Welling, but Still confirmed that Steve McNulty and Paul Benson - who have struggled with knocks in recent weeks - are fully fit and are expected to be involved against the Wings.
It will be the Hatters' first game at Kenilworth Road since a 4-1 win over Hyde on 12th October and Still can't wait to get in front of the home faithful after six successive away games.
"It's funny because the other day I had to ask someone who our last match was against as I couldn't remember!" joked the manager at his press conference on Thursday. "We've done very well away from home considering the run we've had but it's going to be good being back at home."
