Five players not offered deals

Town boss John Still revealed the names of five players who will not have their contracts renewed at the end of the season.

At his Thursday afternoon press conference the manager confirmed that Alasan Ann, Scott Neilson, James Dance, Stuart Fleetwood and Janos Kovacs would be leaving Kenilworth Road when their current deals expire in the summer.

Furthermore, Still explained that he has transfer listed midfielder Arnaud Mendy for a reason he did not want to disclose.

Still hopes that midfielder Alex Lawless will sign a new contract. "Alex, along with Jake Howells, are the two that have impressed me most since I've come in," he said.

Lawless will again be unavailable for the Town for Saturday's game at Cambridge. Captain Ronnie Henry requires a hernia operation and will only be called upon if necessary.

New signing Scott Griffiths played 90 minutes for the Hatters in a development game with Charlton on Wednesday, but it is likely to be a fortnight before he makes his debut as he builds up his match fitness.
