Winger a Hatter for another two years

Dave Martin has become the latest member of the Town squad to commit their future to the club by signing a contract extension until the summer of 2015.

The 28-year-old winger signed for the Hatters at the end of January and made his debut in the 1-0 defeat at Barrow on 2nd February.

The former Crystal Palace, Millwall, Derby and Southend man made 16 appearances last season for the Town and scored three goals, including a brace in the 3-0 home victory over Lincoln City on 9th April.

Manager John Still told lutontown.co.uk: “Left wingers with Dave’s ability and experience do not grow on trees, especially at this level.

“I’m delighted he wanted to sign an extended deal and, whilst we saw a lot of good things from Dave towards the back end of last season, both he and I know there is more to come from him.

“He’s a typically old-fashioned winger who loves the games, loves attacking and loves making things happen on the pitch.”
