Opportunity knocks for aspiring Town players

Luton Town Ladies are on the look-out for new players at an open trial this coming Sunday at Stockwood Park.

The Town Ladies are all set to become a Championship club following the creation of a second tier of the Women’s Super League and subsequent re-organisation of the women’s pyramid.

This coming Sunday the club will be holding open trials at Stockwood Park Athletics Track from 10.30am until 1pm and any players who wish to join the club are welcome to attend. The session will have aspects of fitness, technical drills, small sided sessions as well as the opportunity to show case your talent in 11 v 11 situations.

Hatters Ladies boss Dave Baker told lutontown.co.uk: “The newly-formed league is an exciting opportunity for the Club to progress yet further and to have the recognition of competing in what will become the highest league in the winter pyramid.

“There will also be the same opportunity for our reserves, who already compete in the highest Division they can, to join the newly-formed reserve league and play at a more competitive level which can only be a good thing for their development.

“We also have a third squad who will be joining the Bedfordshire Women’s County League so there will be opportunity for players of all levels to play for Luton Town.”
