SOLYD DONATION HITS £1,500

The Club have received £1,500 in donations made to SoLYD from supporters purchasing tickets ahead of Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Kenilworth Road.

Donations were even forthcoming from Norwich supporters who felt the Hatters deserved to receive more revenue from the tie.

The Hatters gave fans the opportunity to make the charitable donation towards Supporters of Luton Youth Development's (SoLYD) fund after receiving emails from supporters unhappy with the Canaries' pricing structure for the cup tie at Carrow Road.

Town managing director Gary Sweet told lutontown.co.uk: “It's a great figure and I must thank  those supporters who took the time to email in their thoughts to us and, of course, to those who donated - including those from Norwich.

“We are pleased that SoLYD will receive a sizeable donation, and it further underlines our supporters' feeling towards our highly-acclaimed youth academy.”

For those supporters wishing to donate to SoLYD please do so by visiting www.solyd.co.uk.
