Boss on goalless draw

Town boss Paul Buckle was left to rue the missed chances in the second half that meant his side only left AFC Telford with a point in a goalless draw.

Strikers Jon Shaw and Andre Gray both came close to earning the Hatters victory in a second half dominated by the visitors.

And Buckle believed on another night the Town would have left a bitterly cold New Bucks Head victorious.

"On another day we win the game," the manager said afterwards. "Their goalkeeper's made a great save from Andre's header and Jon's missed from eight yards and you'd usually back him to hit the target.

"We're disappointed on our second half showing that we haven't won the three points because it was virtually all us after half-time.

"It took us a while to get into the game and get to grips with the surface and at half-time I thought we weren't too displeased. I honestly thought we'd go on and win the game.

"We've not been short when it's come to scoring goals and of course it's frustrating not to put our chances away, but it wasn't to be. I'm pleased we've made it four games unbeaten and I'm pleased we've kept another clean sheet.

"The only thing missing was a goal but credit to Telford, they've raised their game tonight and if they play like that every week they'll be okay."
