New Bucks Head pitch okay after cold snap
The Town's game at AFC Telford tonight will go ahead as planned, the Shropshire club have said.
The recent cold weather had put the game in doubt but the Bucks groundstaff covered the pitch over the weekend and is in "fine condition" ahead of this evening's Blue Square Bet Premier fixture at the New Bucks Head.
A statement on the Telford website read: "AFC Telford United ground staff have this morning confirmed that the pitch has held up well under the frost covers meaning that tonight's game against Luton Town is on.
The pitch has been covered since Friday and helped protect the pitch last night as temperatures dropped to minus 2. This was on top of a combination of snow, sleet and a considerable amount of rain that fell yesterday."
Admission for Town supporters will be on the night. Prices: £14 adults; £11 concessions; £6 14-18-year-olds and £2 Under 14s. £1 transfer for seating area. Please note that there are a limited number of seats available on a first come first serve basis only. Town supporters will need to access via cash turnstiles I and J.
