PUNTING PERSPECTIVE: MILLWALL

15 February 2013

12/1 for another 1-0

They’ve done it twice before they can do it again.

The Town have already won the hearts of the nation – and bookmakers – following their last two FA Cup scalps of Wolves and Norwich and the Hatters are a industry best-price 100/30 with Blue Square to become the first non-league team in almost 100 years to progress to the quarter-finals by beating Millwall tomorrow.

The Conference sponsors are so wary of the Hatters’ giant-killing exploits that they are refunding bets of up to £50 on all losing first goalscorer, correct score and player special markets should the Town triumph.

Neither side have won a game since winning their fourth round ties. Millwall, who beat Aston Villa at the New Den, are without an away win in seven, but are 17/20 favourites with Blue Square to earn a spot in the sixth round. The draw is a 12/5 chance.

If you fancy a repeat of the Town’s third and fourth round victories it is 12/1 that Paul Buckle’s side can win 1-0 – the shortest odds on any correct score price on the Hatters.

In other odds that take our tipster’s eye, Andre Gray is 22/1 to win a penalty by being fouled. The Town striker has proven to be a real handful for opposition defences in the 18-yard box this season and won a spot-kick last Saturday – only for him to miss it himself. If a penalty isn’t awarded but the Hatters win you’ll get your stake back as part of Blue Square’s promotion.

On Thursday the SkySports cameras were up at Dunstable’s Creasey Park facility to shoot Alex Lawless, Stuart Fleetwood and Jake Howells take part in a feature for their Fantasy Football Club programme that airs on Friday night. We won’t reveal how the trio got on, but if their efforts are anything to go by then the Town will be a real threat from set pieces. With that in mind back Janos Kovacs at 28/1 to score the first goal against the Lions, and do so each way. And remember – if the Town win and Janos doesn’t score you’ll be refunded your stake by Blue Square (maximum £50).

Remember you can help own wallet, the Hatters and the Football Conference by backing us through Blue Square. Visit www.bluesq.com/fans.

Recommendations:

Town to win 1-0 12/1
Janos Kovacs first goal 28/1 (ew)
Andre Gray to win a penalty 22/1

Our tipster is showing a £32.59 profit on his selections this season.
