Double fracture for Smudger

Hatters manager John Still confirmed on Friday afternoon that Jonathan Smith has broken his leg in two places.

The midfielder sustained a broken fibula and tibia during the Boxing Day win over Barnet, and had an operation in Harrow hospital on Friday.

"There's nothing we can do to change Smudger's situation," said Still, who was clearly shaken after witnessing the tackle. "But what we can do is put a smile on his face with our results and keep him in good spirits."

The squad hope to visit Smith at some point in the next week.

More to follow.
