Boss talks about the latest injury situation
The Hatters will be without defender Anthony Charles for up to four weeks with a shoulder injury.Manager John Still confirmed the news at his Thursday afternoon press conference.
The centre-half came off with 20 minutes left during Tuesday night's 2-0 win over Salisbury and Still said in a worst-case scenario the former Northampton and Aldershot man could be out for up to six weeks.
Still also confirmed that Jon Shaw requires a hernia operation but the striker is still available to play. The manager said: "We're waiting on a few things with Jon. He's fit to play, but he needs an operation and we're going to time it right."
Meanwhile, club captain Ronnie Henry is rated 50:50 to return for the Town for this Saturday's home game with Macclesfield Town in the Skrill Premier. The right-back has been out with a back problem.
And Alex Lawless - who played 70 minutes and scored twice for the development squad on Wednesday - could be in contention for a return to the first team squad. "Alex did well yesterday," said Still. "He's a fit lad but we'll wait and see how he is in training on Friday before we make any decision on him."
