Centre-halves back in contention

Town boss Paul Buckle is hoping to have defender Dean Beckwith available for Saturday's trip to Lincoln City.

The centre-back missed the 3-1 victory over Southport with a groin injury and could be back in the squad to face the Imps at Sincil Bank.

Buckle will also be able to call upon the services of fellow defender Janos Kovacs after the Hungarian was rested by the manager last weekend.

The boss also had good news on the fitness of midfielder Danny Spiller, who joined in light training on Thursday at Kenilworth Road. He may travel to Lincoln to be a part of the squad, Buckle said, but is likely to be still two to three weeks away from a full return.

Whilst not giving anything away at his pre-match press conference, Buckle hinted he may keep the faith with the same side that beat Southport last week having been impressed with the display against the Sandgrounders.
