ODDS ON FOR HOME WIN

9 October 2012

Sponsored by

Town may be 1/3 but plenty of value elsewhere

The Town are heavily odds onto win their fourth game in a row with league sponsors Blue Square against Braintree Town this evening.

The Hatters can go joint top of the table if results go their way, and a victory for Paul Buckle’s side can be backed at 1/3 to extend their winning sequence – the shortest price of any team in the Blue Square Bet Premier tonight.

Braintree, who have not won in their last in their last seven games, are 15/2 to triumph at Kenilworth Road whilst the draw is a 100/30 chance.

The Iron, who soundly beat a well-below par Town side the last time the two sides met, go into the fixture with a marginally better away record than home record, with two victories and a draw from their six trips away from Cressing Road.

The Hatters, meanwhile, have won three and drawn one of their last four home games, scoring 10 goals in the process, and, with boss Buckle signalling his intent to attack from the first whistle, the Town look a good bet on the handicap to record another victory.

Blue Square go evens that the Town win giving Braintree a one-goal head start. In the correct score market the Hatters can be backed at 15/2 to win 3-0 and 14/1 to triumph 4-0.

In the specials markets it’s worth noting the 6/4 about the Hatters to win both halves of football, whilst the first goal in the game to be scored between the 16th and 30th minute is worth a punt at 5/2 given the manager’s call to grab an early goal.

Town -1 on the handicap evens
