PRE-MATCH THOUGHTS

Town boss Paul Buckle - “Without giving the team away, you look for consistency in individuals and in the team, and I think certainly the last game we’re very pleased with the second half performance. I’m delighted with all of the players and there’s big competition for places at the moment. We will need to show our fighting qualities to get a result, they're a tough side. They will be looking to win the match and it will be a tough game.”

Imps boss David Holdsworth - “You want to play against the best teams, this month was always going to be a very difficult month against four of the major teams in the league, and I look forward to games like that.”

TEAM NEWS

Hatters: Paul Buckle this week extended Connor Essam's stay at Kenilworth Road as he competes with new signing Simon Ainge and recently rested Janos Kovacs to start on Saturday. Dean Beckwith is also nearing a return and could be in contention for the trip also. Danny Spiller has begun light training as he looks to get his Hatters career off and running but will not feature. James Dance and Garry Richards both are still unavailable through injury.

Lincoln City: David Holdsworth meanwhile has his own injury issues to contend with, former Stevenage full-back Jon Nutter out with a hamstring injury whilst Rob Duffy and Alan Power both miss out due to ankle injuries.
