The Hatters made it three friendly wins in row last night
Scott Rendell bagged his first goal for Luton ahead of the visit of former club Wycombe Wanderers to Kenilworth Road on Wednesday, while Stuart Fleetwood netted for the second successive pre-season game as the Hatters eased past St Albans City. The game also saw the debut of centre-back signing Garry Richards, who entered the fray as a half time substitute and was handed the captain’s armband to mark the occasion. But the deadlock was broken on 34 minutes with a luscious triangle of one-touch passing between Jake Howells, Fleetwood and Rendell, with the latter afforded an open goal with which to register his first goal for the club. Luton doubled the lead minutes later when the goalscorer repaid the favour to slip Fleetwood in, though last season's top marksman still had some work to do, shrugging off Matt McEnatagart before lofting over the advancing Jupp.
