The Town are pleased to announce that Italian Heritage brand Fila will be producing the new 2012/2013 away kit and training-wear range.

The current home strip, supplied by Carbrini, will continue following its overwhelming popularity with the supporters. The club have made the decision to endorse both brands in order to keep the home shirt  for a second season.

Fila, established in 1911, has an Italian heritage few can dispute. They have maintained a reputation for producing the finest sporting goods including kits for the Italian and Scottish national teams. Luton fans can be assured of the same quality as the club joins a number of Football League teams sporting the Fila brand including Blackpool and Notts County, the world's oldest Football League club.

Hatters managing director Gary Sweet said: "The current home kit has been extremely popular and as we stated this kit was to be in place for two years we didn't want to go back on this.

"The design and quality of the new away kit and training-wear range is of the highest standard and we felt the opportunity to move to a brand with such heritage was an opportunity we couldn't miss out on.

"This is a unique situation and we feel this made for the fairest solution for our fans. Their support has been fantastic, no more so than at the Play-Off Final. We are delighted with the new away kit and know the fans will be too ahead of what we hope will be a very exciting season."

Guy Walker, JD Sports' Head of Football added: "We are very proud to be associated with Luton Town Football Club and are pleased that they will be endorsing two very popular brands throughout the 2012/13 season. Whilst this is a unique situation we fully support the clubs decision and loyalty to the fans. The new away kit is a bespoke design and we look forward to seeing the fans and players wearing it with pride."

The new training-wear range will be available to buy from both the club shop and local JD Sports (Luton) from Friday 6th July following the players' arrival back for pre-season today.

Fans will get chance to see the new away kit over the coming weeks ahead following the first teaser images that were released for the Play-Off semi-final first leg against Wrexham. The full launch date is to be confirmed ahead of the new season.
