Bet with Blue Square and help the Hatters
The Town may have yet to register a home victory after two attempts but Paul Buckle’s side are still favourites with Blue Square to beat Macclesfield at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.
The league sponsor have priced the Hatters the 4/5 favourites to see off the Silkmen and get their first home win of the campaign.
Steve King’s visitors have won their last four matches and sit in second place in the Blue Square Bet Premier. Three of those wins have come at their Moss Rose home and the Cheshire side are 3/1 to win all three points on Saturday.
The Town have only ever won once in six meetings previous meetings between the two clubs. That came in the last meeting back in March 2009 when a Tom Craddock penalty was enough to give the Hatters their only win over the Silkmen. A repeat of that scoreline is 13/2 with Blue Square.
The Hatters have been behind at half-time in both of the home games so far this season so a play in the half-time/full-time market could be of interest to perspective punters.
It’s 25/1 that Macclesfield lead at the break before the Town come back to win and 14/1 if Macclesfield are winning after 45 minutes but the game ends all square.
Once again in-form striker Stuart Fleetwood is the favourite in the first goal scorer market. His six goals in five games have shot the Gloucester-born frontman to the top of the goalscoring charts and he’s 100/30 to score first against the Silkmen.
With Jon Shaw suspended it might be worth siding with Fleetwood again or, at a better price, Andre Gray at 5/1. Lathaniel Rowe-Turner is an eye-catching 40/1 and is the each-way pick.
Meanwhile, former Hatter Matthew Barnes-Homer is 15/2 to score the first goal. Simon Davies and Efe Sodje are two former Luton players who have scored against the Hatters before for the Silkmen.
