Goalscoring attacking midfielder Thelo Aasgaard joined for an undisclosed sum from Wigan Athletic towards the end of the winter 2025 transfer window.
Highly rated Aasgaard, 22, has scored 12 times in 31 appearances for the Latics in 2024/25, including eight in his last 15 with the Latics.
After spending time in Liverpool’s academy, then-Norway under-21 international Thelo joined Wigan in 2016 coming through the ranks at the Lancashire club.
He made his Wigan debut as a 19-year-old in October 2020 and has since gone on to score 30 times in 163 appearances for the Latics – including a wonderful winner against us at Kenilworth Road in September 2022 and a brilliant volley in the two sides’ FA Cup replay meeting later that season.
Thelo signed for the Hatters on the 28th January 2025 and made his debut four days later in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
So far in his Luton career, the midfielder has been ever-present, starting all 17 games between signing and the end of the season, and scoring two goals - one of them being the winner in a crucial game for the Hatters away at Cardiff, sealing our second away win of the season.
The Liverpool-born player also made his full international debut in March 2025, scoring once and assisting another in Norway’s 5-0 World Cup qualifying win in Moldova.
