Lamine Fanne agreed to join Luton for an undisclosed fee from AIK on Transfer Deadline Day in the summer of 2024, where he made an immediate return to his former side until January 2025.
Born in Senegal before moving to the Spanish island of Mallorca, Fanne played for Constància during his progression to becoming a professional footballer.
Still as a youth player, the midfielder went to Sweden to play for one of the biggest Allsvenskan clubs, AIK.
The highly-rated youngster made his breakthrough into the AIK first team during 2024 and made 20 appearances as the Swedish side steered themselves into a UEFA Europa League qualifying spot with a third place finish.
He made his debut for the Town in January 2025 in the Championship fixture at Queens Park Rangers, which proved to be the final game of Rob Edwards' time in charge of the Hatters.
Fanne started the next game in the FA Cup third round at Nottingham Forest under the caretaker charge of Paul Trollope, Richie Kyle and Mick Harford, before going on to appear another 11 times under Matt Bloomfield - totalling 13 appearances to the end of the campaign.
