Jones signed for Luton Town in January 2025 for an undisclosed fee from Middlesbrough.

Lambeth-born Jones started his career with Tooting & Mitcham United, and his performances as a teenager caught the eyes of many, including Championship side Middlesbrough, who signed the youngster in 2019.

Loans in Scotland with St Johnstone and Queen of the South followed before Jones made his mark in Middlesbrough, breaking into Boro’s first team in the 2021/22 campaign.

Jones contributed nine assists in 47 games in the 21/22 season, which saw them finish seventh in the Championship and reach the FA Cup quarter-final.

The following season, he helped Boro reach the Championship play-offs and then had his best goal-scoring campaign in 23/24 with nine goals, a season where Boro made the League Cup semi-final.

Izzy acquired a Guyanese passport so he could play for the national team, which he did for the first time in September 2023.
