Christ Makosso signed for Luton in January 2025 for an undisclosed fee from Belgium second-tier side RWD Molenbeek.
The Congolese international featured for his country for the first time as an 18-year-old in March 2024 against Gabon.
Makosso was scouted in Congo by French club Sochaux and handed the defender his Ligue 2 debut during the 2022/23 season.
RWDM then signed the youngster from Sochaux in January 2024, playing a handful of games in the Belgian top-flight before RWDM’s relegation at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Makosso’s performances caught the eye at Kenilworth Road as he became the first signing of the January window in 2025.
After a handful of appearances for the Under-21s, Makosso made his senior debut for the Hatters coming on a half-time substitute in the derby defeat at Watford on February 23rd.
He went on to start the remaining 12 games of the season and proved a key addition in strengthening the Town defence, winning Diamond Player of the Month for March as well as the Signing of the Season and Young Player of the Year awards at the Luton Town Supporters' Trust's presentation evening.
