The Hatters Under-18s fought back three times to earn a 3-3 draw at Northampton in the Youth Alliance Cup on Saturday morning.
After a scrappy start the Town fell behind but were level on 23 minutes when Benedict Benagr, pictured above, rifled the ball home after Northampton failed to clear Tate Xavier-Jones’ cross.
A bad injury to a Northampton player at the start of the second half delayed the game for 20 minutes but when play resumed the Cobblers regained the lead with a finish on the counter-attack.
With 15 minutes remaining the Town equalised for the second time when Zach Ioannides was fouled in the box and Dylan Stitt powered home the spot-kick despite the best efforts of the Cobblers keeper.
However, five minutes later, Northampton led again, scoring from the spot after the referee awarded a penalty.
But not to be denied with three minutes remaining, Jordan Iwhiwhu linked up well with Samuel Hincapie-Alfonso for the latter to blast a 20-yard shot low into the bottom corner to salvage a draw.
