We celebrate 140 years of Luton Town with all-club photo

First team squad stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all club staff at Kenilworth Road

The coaches, players and Luton Town club staff take part in the first all-club photo since 2014.

We are back home at Kenilworth Road this afternoon for the final time in September as we look to return to winning ways with the visit of Doncaster Rovers.

This week kicked off with all club staff being invited to join the first team squad and staff for a special photo to mark 140 years of Luton Town Football Club – the first all-club picture taken since 2014.

Manager Matt Bloomfield and our players stood shoulder-to-shoulder on the pitch with staff from all departments in a unique display of the togetherness that runs through the club.

“They want to work, they want to get on, they want to learn and they want to be better,” Matt told the local press when asked about the lads’ reaction this week in his pre-match press conference. “They have been left in no uncertain terms that last week wasn’t good enough, so they have to respond.

“As much as I’ve had to respond, the players have to respond and together we have to be a unit, we have to stick together. You find out about people in tough times, not in good. I’ve found out a few things this week and we have to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and fight together.”

It is that unity that we will need on full show this afternoon as we play host to a Doncaster side who have started the season well, but who we will leapfrog in the table with a home win today followed up by another at Blackpool on Tuesday night.

The pre-match activities kick off on the Kenilworth apron at midday.

See you all there and COYH!
