Millenic Alli is given his full debut after signing from Exeter while Zack Nelson also lines up in the Town XI at the Stadium of Light.

Alfie Doughty misses out as a slight precaution with a hamstring injury but is expected to be available at home to Sheffield United. Jacob Brown drops to the Hatters bench that includes striker Lasse Nordås who is involved for the first time since signing on deadline day.
