Power Court

The real work starts this summer

CEO Gary Sweet explains to LTFC+ next steps for Power Court following signing of PCSA with contractor Limak

CEO Gary Sweet explained that the real work on Power Court will start this summer after it was revealed the Club agreed a pre-construction services partnership with Limak International.

“It’s a real milestone, a really important one when you appoint a contractor,” Gary told LTFC+ on site at Power Court.

“We’re pleased to get all the agreements done so we can start the real work. All the design and planning and all those things you have to go through are a big pain. The ground clearance and flattening the land is just preparation.

“Once we have the piles and the big cranes on site this summer, that’s when it becomes exciting.

“We still need to have a bit of patience. The substation will be terminated in a few months and the river will be moved.

“But the real work will start in the summer and that’s when people can start getting excited. Once the building work starts things go up pretty quickly.

“It’s during that period when again we need a lot of patience. People might think it’ll looked finished but they’ll still be lots of work to do on the insides.

“It’ll be an exciting period from the summer onwards for a year or so when you’ll see things rising out of the ground.”
