Hatters midfielder Tahith Chong has been called up by Curaçao for the first time for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago and Bermuda.

Former Netherlands manager Dick Advocaat is currently the head coach of the Blue Wave, and has selected 25-year-old Chong in his squad for the games to be played in Port of Spain on September 5th, with a home match against Bermuda at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad to follow four days later.

The former Manchester United youngster has been capped by the Netherlands 47 times at age group levels from Under-15 to 21s, but has now been selected for the country of his birth for the first time.

Our Sky Bet League One fixture away to Blackpool on Saturday 6th September has been postponed as we have received notification of sufficient call-ups for our players to represent their countries during the upcoming international window.
